SISTER ART COLLECTIVE & STUDIO

SISTER is an art collective based in Salt Lake City, UT, founded by Maru Quevedo in 2022. What began as a one-time curatorial project and gallery for International Women’s Day at Medium Gallery has grown into a dynamic multimedia platform involving over 70 local artists and creatives.

SISTER’s projects range from traditional exhibitions—presented in collaboration with Fice Gallery & Boutique, Finch Lane Gallery, and evo Hotel—to public art installations and events created alongside The Blocks Art District, Social Antidote/Bandah, Sundance Institute, Salt Lake City Arts Council, and others.

The collective’s work also extends to zine releases, in-house screenprinting, creative workshops and panels, live poetry, and independent film screenings.

SISTER ART COLLECTIVE MISSION

SISTER exists to increase the visibility of women, femmes, queer, nonbinary, and GNC artists in Utah. We curate brave spaces that celebrate, uplift and care for the communities we highlight.

SISTER also serves as a platform for distributing resources and raising awareness about issues relevant to these communities.
